Sandra Mendiola García specializes in the history of modern Mexico. At UNT, she teaches the colonial and modern periods of Latin America, Mexico, and Revolutions in Twentieth-Century Latin America. She also teaches World History since 1500. Mendiola’s research interests focus on labor, women, and gender histories. She is the author of Street Democracy: Vendors, Violence and Public Space in Late Twentieth Century Mexico. Her new project centers on the silver mining communities of central Mexico.
